Mike was until recently the Executive Director of the Council for British Archaeology, where he established the Marsh Archaeology Awards in collaboration with the MCT. He is now a freelance archaeology & heritage consultant working on projects around the UK. He continues to be the Secretary to the All Party Parliamentary Archaeology Group at Westminster and is involved with various other heritage groups and committees as a trustee, chair, and keen supporter. He was awarded an MBE for services to heritage in 2007.
Mike only recently became an Ambassador for the MCT but looks forward to getting more involved with the work of the Trust and the various awards to deserving individuals in the coming years.
