Mind is one of the UK’s leading charities working to improve the lives of people with experience of mental health problems. They provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem and campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health.
Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling and it is estimated that only 25% of people receive support every year.
Mind places people’s experiences and collaboration at the heart of their work. As such, Mind has instigated a cross-organisational initiative to deliver Peerfest, a national annual event which celebrates the importance, power and diversity of peer support and brings peers together to network, share knowledge and develop best practice in mental health.
Our Awards with Mind and wider Peerfest partners celebrate the invaluable work of people supporting each other through their lived experience of mental health.
