Carers Trust works to improve support services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring. A carer is someone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support.
Caring can impact an individual’s work and learning, health and well-being, and social life. It is therefore important for carers to have access to services that enable them to live their own lives while caring.
Often these services are developed and run by people who have experiences of being carers themselves and who go the extra mile to help others who are in a similar position to them. It is these admirable people that we aim to recognise through our Awards with the Carers Trust.
