Barnardo’s is one of the UK’s leading children’s charities, working to transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people across the UK, whilst believing in their potential.
As well as leading on research and campaigning for better policies, Barnardo’s runs 996 services around the UK that offer vital support to children, young people and families. Some of their key areas of work include mental ill health, disability, child poverty, young carers and children with a parent in prison.
Much of Barnardo’s work relies on volunteers who help to run services, volunteer in charity shops and fundraise for the organisation, often bringing their own personal and life experiences to the role. Our Awards are a way of celebrating the great achievements of these volunteers throughout the UK.
