Marsh Award for International Bird Conservation

The Award, run in partnership with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) recognises a conservationist undertaking important work on a globally threatened species.


The 2007 winner is Maxim Koshkin, Kazahkstan (Sociable Plover)

Maxim Koshkin was presented with the 2007 Award for his work in ensuring a future for the Sociable Plover (pictured), one of the world's most critically endangered birds.
