About The Marsh Christian Trust.

The Marsh Christian Trust was established by Brian Marsh in 1981. The trust is a charitable body that supports registered charities in their chosen field of work, with a particular emphasis on social welfare, environmental causes and animal welfare, literature, arts & heritage, education and training and healthcare and medical research.

The trust also funds and administers the Marsh Awards, which recognise the achievements of the unsung hero in the fields of science, conservation, heritage, literature and volunteering. These individuals or organisations range from scientists working in genetic bio-diversity to volunteers working with children in care.

The programme of 22 awards is managed in association with key partners including the National Trust, the RSPB, Barnardos, the Zoological Society of London and Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

Brian Marsh has over 40 years experience working in the financial services industry.Following his sale and agreed exit from Nelson, Hurst & Marsh (Holdings) in 1989, Brian Marsh set up B P Marsh & Partners. This vehicle was originally intended as a way of managing his remaining business interests but has now grown to the extent that it became a publicly listed company in February 2006, with Brian Marsh as its major shareholders and executive Chairman.

Brian Marsh was awarded an OBE for services to business and charity in the 2005 New Years Honours List.
